rendevous in utah

so this weekend i met up with justin in salt lake city for a weekend rendevous and to catch up with all our loved ones who now reside there. we both flew in on friday and left straight for the hip-happening town of brigham city, where don and fran rollins now live. sheri and ben ward, staci rollins, and justin and i went out on don's boat at mantua (or as don likes to say "donaway", and pronounced "manaway". i dont know where they come up with these names!!). the moomba (Don's boat), was so much fun. we all took our turns wake boarding, getting thrown off the tubes (my back is killing me!), and laying out in the sun. while we were all out on the boat, staci had a snake crawl on her foot. i know, crazy. we ate dinner that night with don, fran, and grandma bev and stalked up on beef jerky before heading back down to provoland. saturday morning, we went to atch justins youngest brother garrett get second in his age group at the triathalon in jordanelle. it got us both so amped to do a race ourselves we have already begun training. for lunch we hit up Cafe Rio, the best mexican food in the world!!, and headed down to Provo lake to see if we could find brooke and ryan mattice on it. i know what your thinking, that lake is huge and what are the odds of finding someone on it without even having a boat of our own, but thats exactly what we did. as justin and i sat on the shore yelling at every boat that went by, finally one waved back. we finished off the day wakeboarding again with them and then hanging out with them back up at justins families place. our good friends spent the night and we hung out all day sunday. after we dropped off justin at the airport on sunday, i went to a stevens family (brookes family) dinner. it was overall one of the best weekends of the summer because of all the wonderful friends and family we were able to see.

so i know what you are all thinking... and yes, i went to see timmy again. crazy, but i just love their show. this time though, i dragged justin along with me. it is true that this was his first country concert, but hopefully not his last. so we started off getting there 1 hour late because of the traffic just to get off the freeway, but we called ahead and had them postpone the show untill we arrived. once we got there though, our seats had a tv camera in them (making it awfully hard to sit down), so they relocated us to 2 rows from the stage. no complaints. then the show was awesome! best one they have done yet since it was the second to last show of the tour, they pulled out all the stops. and towards the end, timmy decided to take a lap around the stage in with the people, so i ran down to where i thought he would come. and sure enough he walked right by and grabbed my hand. not just a little slap hands, but a real grab. im sure i looked like a little kid who just met his favorite super hero, but whatever. so i rejoined justin and we watched the rest of the show with huge grins. it ended up going well past midnight, but it was quite the night.

reunited at last

so the hardest part of this summer adventure is over. the whole month we didnt get to see each other has come to an end. justin has joined me in sunny CA for the next 2 weeks. we have no plans other than the beach (we have already been four times!) and relaxing. its nice to have the fam back together again.
